Getting Started Designing My Xevera Bacolor Home

For many, the dream of homeownership is a milestone. For me, that dream took shape in the heart of Pampanga, in a cozy townhouse in Xevera Bacolor. While the house itself was a perfect start, a blank canvas, I yearned to transform it into a space that was uniquely mine – a true dream home for my family. The challenge? I had a vision, but not the traditional means to bring it to life. That’s when I discovered the world of online design, and specifically, the free space planning and design tools from HomeByMe (https://home.by.me/).

My journey into virtual home design began with a simple search. I wanted a tool that was user-friendly, comprehensive, and wouldn’t break the bank. HomeByMe immediately stood out. Their website promised an intuitive platform where I could create detailed 2D and 3D floor plans, furnish my space with real products, and visualize the final result in stunningly realistic 4K renderings. It was everything I was looking for, all accessible from the comfort of my own home.

Measure Your Rooms, Windows and Doors

The first step was to recreate my Xevera townhouse’s floor plan. I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of the 2D floor plan creator. I first had to get the measurements from a construction team I work with. I would recommend getting each room, windows, door openings, properly measured in advance. I entered the dimensions of my 45.20 square meter home, easily adding walls, doors, and windows to match the actual layout. The process was as simple as dragging and dropping elements onto a grid. In no time, I had a digital blueprint of my new home.

But the real magic happened when I switched to the 3D view. Suddenly, my flat floor plan transformed into a three-dimensional space that I could virtually walk through. This was a game-changer. I could now get a true sense of the space, understanding the flow from the living area to the two bedrooms and the kitchen. It was at this point that my dream home started to feel tangible.

With the virtual structure in place, it was time for the most exciting part: furnishing and decorating. HomeByMe boasts an extensive catalog of furniture and decor from real brands. This meant I wasn’t just placing generic blocks into my design; I was choosing from actual sofas, tables, beds, and lighting fixtures that I could potentially purchase later.

Furnish Your Home in 3D

I wanted my home to reflect the vibrant culture of Pampanga, known as the “Culinary Capital of the Philippines.” I envisioned a warm and inviting space, perfect for entertaining family and friends and Real Estate Clients, as Im in Real Estate Sales. In the living room, I chose a comfortable, modern sofa that also turns into a spare bed. A small end table to hold my morning coffee. For the dining area, I selected a beautiful round wooden table that could seat four, ideal for enjoying home-cooked Kapampangan feasts. Im still looking for the round mirror, HomeByMe has some excellent design ideas and with the boxy shape of all Xevera Bacolor homes, I needed to round things out a bit.

The 3D room planner allowed me to experiment with different layouts and styles without any real-world consequences. I could move furniture around with a click of a mouse, try out different color palettes for the walls, and even see how different flooring options would look. I spent hours exploring the catalog, finding the perfect pieces that fit my vision and budget. I found that Wilcon Depot, Mandaue Foam, Ashley Furniture had similar shapes and design styles, so I just got as close as I could to the final furniture selections.

I had so much clarity and vision with the lighting, seeing it in 3D in “Walk Through Mode” helped me visualize the lighting, how to space it out, where we needed light switches, where we needed to enhance more power outlets, even the emergency lighting we figured out through using HomeByMe.

One of my favorite features was the ability to add small decorative items. I added virtual plants to bring a touch of nature indoors, hung artwork on the walls that reminded me of the beautiful landscapes of the Philippines, I grew up in the Luzon Mountains and the ability to pick sample paintings and choose all the wall colors and traditional earthy tones really is going to add to my peace and tranquility as I work from home looking for homes for my clients in Pampanga.

Render Photo Realistic Images

The culmination of my design journey was the 4K realistic rendering feature. With a single click, I could generate a high-resolution image of my designed space that looked almost like a photograph. This was incredibly helpful in visualizing the final outcome. The way the light from the virtual windows illuminated the room, the textures of the furniture, and the shadows all contributed to a level of realism that I had not thought possible. I could see my dream home, in all its glory, before I had even purchased a single piece of furniture.
